Bittersweet

I knew I would get like this again
That’s why I never brought anything over.
Be the man you love when you’re holding me tight
And then a perfect heart is far away.

The results came and you did nothing wrong
You never promised me again
You’ve sat me down and told me
how everything will go
I knew the odds were I would never win
And here I am.

My self’s foot work always needs improvement
Its One, two, three, four
One, two, three, four
and there may well be others that can dance better
But I still like to pretend I’m the one you really want to grow old with

I’ve got a schedule of intimate plans
To a world guarded by afar.
It means so much to everyone else who has it in mind.

Will you ever slow down, will I ever come first?
The universe contrasts decides

You will never be lonely
No, you’ll always be loved.
And maybe you never need more than that
But for the surplus that loves, what’s to become of us?
Does it even register on your conscience?

If one last showdown from a box in the closet
Air compressed tight by mending
My gripping of hope is the only way out

As a situation of unintentional affliction disappears in a blink of an eye.

Its bittersweet life

With you as something that won’t last

A False Light
